Joseph Mallette, PA-C

A native of Jackson, TN, Joseph Mallette rejoined the team of Dermatology and Skin Cancer Consults in the spring of 2016. Being a member of the charter staff, Joseph helped establish the Mohs laboratory at our Humboldt clinic prior to opening in the fall of 2011. He received his Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2008. After several years working with Dr. Carranza, he was accepted to the Bethel University Physician Assistant Program in 2013 and recently graduated at the top of his class in May of 2016 receiving his Master’s in Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He earned merits including the Excellence in Academic Achievement for highest GPA, the first recipient of the Radiology Medal for highest achievement in this field, along with a clinical core in Dermatology.

Joseph is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Physician Assistant and certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. He is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Tennessee Association of Physician Assistants, and the American Association of Physician Assistants. As a Physician Assistant who has received specialized training in dermatology, Joseph is licensed and qualified to perform a comprehensive dermatological examination, diagnose, treat, and prescribe appropriate medical therapy for your dermatologic needs. His commitment to high standards in continued medical education and patient care are his greatest attributes to furthering our service to patients and their families.

Joseph is married to Amy Mallette, and together, they have 3 children: Braxton 8, Maddison 7, and Cecilia 3. They reside here in Gibson County. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing guitar at Journey Church, and working on their family farm.
