ADULT AND PEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGY
Dermatologists are trained to treat patients from all ages, from newborns to the elderly. This includes the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of problems pertaining to the skin, hair and nails.
Conditions common among children are moles and birthmarks, rashes/dermatitis, acne, warts and other viral infections, and insect bites. In adults, we treat a range of conditions, such as cancers and pre-cancers, acne, rosacea, seborrhea, psoriasis, shingles, age spots/brown spots, sun damage, and skin discoloration. We also treat eczema, allergies, and other disorders that occur in all age groups, and we carefully examine moles or other growths to determine whether they are or may become cancerous.
We hope to improve the rate of cure of most types of skin cancer by focusing on prevention and early diagnosis and treatment. With that in mind, we strongly encourage yearly skin cancer screenings. Patients who have pre-cancers, atypical moles or skin cancer may choose among options from excisional skin surgery to Mohs micrographic surgery.
Our goal is to provide expert skin care with a gentle, personal touch to patients of all ages. We are proud of what we do and of our focus on each patient. Click on the link below for a list of the most common conditions we treat.
