Jeniffer Gonzalez has served as our practice's Office Manager and Nurse Supervisor since opening in 2011. Driven by her passion for helping and serving others, Jeniffer offers our patients and staff excellence, understanding and compassion in all that she does. Jeniffer understands that insurance claims, billing, and financing can be overwhelming for patients. Her 20+ years of experience in the medical field and management is evident when caring for our patients' needs and leading our team. She is a Certified Coder, a Mohs Technician and Histotech, Certified Medical Assistant, and a skilled Surgical Assistant.
Jeniffer was born In San Salvador, El Salvador and immigrated to Los Angeles, California with her sister, Dr. Dafnis Carranza, FAAD, FACMS, at a young age. She graduated from Bryman College in Los Angeles with her CMA. Jeniffer later worked for well-established facilities on the West Coast like the Bosley Medical Institute in Beverly Hills, California as a hair transplant technician, and the Grossman Burn Center with the Grossman Medical Group in Sherman Oaks. She also had the privilege of working for Dr. Vincent Hung, FACS, INC, one of the founders of the Mohs Micrographic Surgical technique!
Along with her family, Jeniffer moved to West Tennessee from California in 2008. In her free time, Jeniffer enjoys time with her three children - two of her children continuing their education on a collegiate and master's level, and one in Gibson County's finest high school band programs. As the years have passed, Jen has a growing appreciation for meaningful, quality time with her husband, parents, and other family. She leads an active lifestyle through running and spending time with her two dogs and three cats.
Our Chief Operations Officer, Michael McGillen, has served our practice and patients since Dermatology and Skin Cancer Consultants opened its doors in 2011. His desire to offer West Tennessee top-notch dermatology care, drives Michael to connect with every patient that enters our facility. Michael strives to cultivate a professional and welcoming environment for our patients and staff through our safety protocols, team building, facility development and improvements, community initiatives, and more. His experience in the medical field, management, and marketing is evident when caring for our patients' needs and leading our team. His primary goal is to ensure every patient is treated with kindness, professionalism, and respect.
Michael was raised in Southern California. He graduated from the University of California - Fullerton with a marketing degree. Michael has worked in the pharmaceutical and medical field for over 20 years.
Along with his wife, Dr. Carranza, FAAD, FACMS, Michael moved from California to West Tennessee in 2008. In his free time, Michael enjoys time with his wife, family, friends, and 10-year old lab named Jack. Michael likes traveling, sports, and reading in his spare time.
