Torn earlobes can occur due to trauma or after wearing heavy earrings for an extended period of time. Earlobes can either be completely torn or the area around a piercing may widen. In order to address this problem, Dr. Carranza can surgically remove the damaged area and reattach the two healthy sides. This is a safe and effective treatment done in the office under local anesthesia. The healing time for an earlobe repair is generally 4 – 6 weeks. During the recovery period, clip-on earrings can be worn after about 1 – 2 weeks. There is no downtime. The ears can even be pierced again once sutures are removed. If you are having a problem with split or torn earlobes and need earlobe repair, call us to determine if you are a candidate for earlobe surgery.

My husband was treated by Joesph Mallette. He was very satisfied with him. He will definitely use him again.

I've been coming here for years, the staff has always been courteous and Joseph is extremely professional and knowledgeable on all forms of skin spots/problems. I highly recommend him to anyone on the fence about going here. I've had history with melanoma and he keeps good documentation and memory of me which makes me feel at ease that I'm being taken care of. He is extremely proficient with the scalpel on the one occasion I had a spot removed to send off for testing; you can barely tell anything was there!

I have been a patient of Joseph Mallett for years. After seeing many other dermatologists for a severe case of psoriasis, Joseph found the treatment that solved my problem. I highly recommended this clinic as thorough, professional, and caring.
