Mohs Micrographic Surgery of a Basal Cell Carcinoma on Upper Right Cutaneous Lip

Patient underwent Mohs Micrographic Surgery after discovering a Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer) on Right Upper Cutaneous Lip measuring at approximately 0.8 cm x 0.7 cm pre-operatively. The non-melanoma skin cancer was fully and successfully excised. Given the location of the tumor, for the best cosmetic outcome the patient and surgeon agreed to complete Mohs surgery with reconstruction measuring a final length of 4.0 cm. The after photograph displayed is 14 days and 8 years post-operation. Patient is pleased with results thus far.
